Meal #1

Now the goal with meal number one needs a good amount of protein and a good amount of complex carbohydrates. Get some pretty good flavor and make it something that’s quick and easy to whip up that way. It’s not something you really have to prep in advance. You can if you want. But I’m not the type of person that does that, I like to cook my breakfast every morning, just kind of part of my routine. So this is going to call for six large eggs.

It’s also going to call for one cup of old fashioned oatmeal, as well as two servings of PBR to get that oatmeal some flavor without getting all the fat from natural peanut butter. Now, keep in mind, you can go ahead and add in natural peanut butter if that’s something you want to do. Keep in mind, I’m going to put your calories up and might put your fat to levels that we don’t want to do, we want to keep our fats in a really good place.

Recipe

So the first thing we’re going to do is take our eggs and go ahead and remove the inner portion from the shell. That might sound like common sense to some of you guys, but you would be surprised. Some of the questions I get from people that are prepping food for the first time to go ahead and get six eggs ready to go and six. And we’re going to be cooking the eggs in a skillet. Now, before I actually throw them on here, what I’d like to do is turn my pan on and let preheat for a little bit before actually do the eggs on.

If you preheat your pan you can literally cook six eggs in like 45 seconds. It’s super fast. The meal going to call for one cup of oatmeal. Now we’re using quick one minute oats here. I usually recommend old fashioned, but this was all they had when I went there. Literally the same thing. These had just been chopped up into smaller pieces, so it’ll work. But I find that getting the full oats that haven’t been chopped up to me for some reason tastes a little better. So we need to grab one cup of this. There we go. No, go in here and add some water to this. I usually recommend filling it up to where the waterline is kind of right at the top of the oatmeal.

Then it’s going to take our eggs and get right down in here and mix them up. And as you can see, they’re already cooking really fast. You add your seasonings or anything else you want to add. I like salt free seasonings. Whatever your personal preferences, even just a basic salt, and pepper can do wonders. These guys cook really fast. Literally 45 seconds or so. These are just about done.

Milk

With this, you should have a glass of milk every so often. I’m sure you know that milk is essential for strong bones and lasting energy. And that’s because it’s full of calcium as well as the proteins, carbs, and fats your body needs. But one study from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition proved that drinking skim milk right after a workout also helps to build muscle mass more effectively than any soy protein drink. And if you don’t exercise, just drink a glass of milk with your regular meals to get the same effect.

Meal #2

With any meal to gain weight, you should try to add an avocado to the dish. Avocado is the top dog of healthy fat. It’s super nutritious and has powerful health benefits that can help you on your way to enviable muscle mass. Plus, it’s just downright delicious. As an added bonus, avocado doesn’t even have that many calories, just enough to gain a healthy amount of weight. So don’t forget to add some avocado to your salads and sandwiches. It’ll give you fast and visible results.
